Welcome to the Beautiful Landscapes and Fascinating Stories of Lehtola Farm

What makes Lomalehto the perfect place for a relaxing cottage holiday? The story begins a couple of centuries ago, when Ilpo’s family established Lehtola Farm.
The farm operated with traditional agriculture, clearing fields for livestock and drawing fresh water from the nearby lake.
Over the decades, farming gave way to forestry, and parts of the fields turned into fragrant Finnish forests of spruce and birch.
Ilpo, the young and talented son of the farm, grew up alongside the trees, watching the rippling lake and dreaming of leaving his own mark on the world.
Can you guess what Ilpo, who became a master of log construction, eventually did?
He chose the finest lakeside spots, harvested the best trees from the family forest, and built the beautiful log cottages and outbuildings where you can now enjoy the most stunning landscapes of Finland.
