Enjoy the comforts of the villa on the shore of Lake Saimaa
Karhunpesä is a villa located on a gently curving peninsula that opens to the south and west.
Surrounded by a sunny sandy beach, 25 meters from the villa, is a lakeside sauna with a fireplace room, a pier, a rowing boat, a grill shelter, and a beach terrace.
The hot tub in front of the sauna with its stunning lake views has been an absolute favorite among our customers.
During the summer, you have your own rowing boat at your disposal, which allows you to enjoy the lake views and fish in the bountiful lake.
We also rent out outboard motors for rowing boats, kayaks, SUP boards, and larger motorboats, so there is plenty to do even for longer stays.

Basic information about the cottage

Relax on the beach terrace and in the pool
The unique lakeside views of Lake Saimaa can be enjoyed from the beach terrace, where you can relax under the shade of the parasol for as long as you like.
The rental cottage has plenty of space for a large group to spend their holiday together.
In addition to the indoor sauna, the cottage has its own lakeside sauna with a fireplace.
For even more relaxation during your holiday, a hot tub, placed on the cottage's beach, can be rented for an additional fee.
You can use a heated hot tub for an additional fee
The spacious lakeside sauna has a traditional wood-heated hot tub attached to it.
From the sauna terrace, there is a direct walkway to a large dock. You can spend more time at the dock, admiring the views of Lake Saimaa while sitting under a sun umbrella.
The beach itself is sandy and child-friendly.
You are welcome to stay in a cabin during the winter season as well
During the winter, you can get in shape with cross-country skiing or take a walk through the snowy landscape along the nearby ski slopes. The 8.5-kilometer-long ski trail runs beautifully through our forests.
Along the way, there is also a toboggan hill for fast descents and a traditional Finnish kota, a covered fire pit for warming up and having a picnic around a campfire.

Wet winter clothing dries quickly in the holiday home's drying cabinet.
In the beach sauna, you can enjoy the warmth of the wood-fired sauna, and for the brave, there is an ice hole for cooling off afterwards. There is also a wood-fired sauna in the log cabin for those moments when you want to quickly and easily warm up in the sauna.
Thanks to comfortable underfloor heating, radiators, and a heat pump, the house stays comfortably warm. Additional warmth and coziness for atmospheric evenings are provided by the soapstone fireplace.
