We enjoyed our stay in Uta and Ilpo's cottage. It was well-equipped and had amazing view to the lake. They were very friendly and welcoming towards us 🙂

Perfect! 😀 - Perfect place if you wish to have a tranquil holiday "away from it all". Private cabin with a private beach, good food (bbq facilities!), sauna, clean waters, beautiful lake scenery... what else can you desire from a truly Finnish holiday experience? This was already our 4th stay in Lomalehto cottages, and we intend to come back. 😞 - Not truly a drawback but just something to keep in mind: The nearest supermarket is quite far away, so remember to bring lots of food to be able to enjoy the bbq facilities 🙂

Lepo arjesta 😀 - Mukava, että mökit sijaitsevat toisistaan etäällä omassa rauhassaan. Keittiöstä löytyi kaikki tarvittava. Mökkien yhteiskäytössä oleva laavu luontopolulla oli mielettömällä paikalla, että suorastaan harmitti ettei ollut revontuli viikonloppu. Matka mökiltä laavulle oli n.10min kävelymatka, paitsi jos haluaa koko luontopolun kiertää samalla. Oli pikainen vkl visiitti, mutta kauemminkin voisi viihtyä. Talvimajoittujat kannattaa muistaa villasukat ottaa mukaan ensimmäisille päiville. Puitteet oli kunnossa ja palvelu ystävällistä. Tulemme varmasti uudestaan. 😞 - None

The cottage is in perfect position to explore the wonderful area of the huge lake area and is located directly next to the lake with an amazing view on the lake and the forested hills around from the terrace. It has a great luxurious sauna after which you can jump into the lake to cool down. There is a boat to row over the lake and a grilli mökki for bbq in the evenings. The house itself has many rooms and a big living room and kitchen with most necessary things. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
In the surrounding we hiked, picked mushrooms and berries. The birds on the lake, such as the howling (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication with Uta was easy too. Thank you 🙂

Wonderful cabin in the woods! We cooked dinner at the fire pit every night. Our dog enjoyed exploring the property, which we were able to do because the neighbors aren't close. We used both the electric sauna in the main house and also the wood sauna by the lake. We took the boat out on the lake to check out the surrounding islands. Uta also told us about a nice hiking trail, which we went on each day and took a break for snacks and drinks at the fire pit along the trail.
The house has everything we could have needed, and the location was perfect for us. We only have 2 people and our dog, but the cabin was big enough for 6 or 8 with no problem.

Wir haben in Utas Blockhaus eine wunderbare Zeit gehabt und alles so vorgefunden, wie abgebildet und beschrieben.
Das Haus war sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet!
Hervorzuheben sind die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und große Hilfsbereitschaft der Gastgeberfamilie, die für jedes Anliegen eine Lösung hatte. Als unsere Autobatterie am Abreisetag versagte, war Uta unsere Rettung.

Un lieu magnifique, hors du temps et de l’espace… Un lieu où se retirer au calme, apportant plénitude et ressourcement.

Ula est très proactive, répond vite et de manière efficace. Tout est prêt pour une arrivée sereine et un séjour tranquille.

Je conseille aux visiteurs de faire leurs provisions pour l’entièreté de leur séjour, afin de profiter au maximum de l’environnement : forêt, lac, sauna,…

Very clean apartment in beautiful natural surroundings. Everything was as expected, and the kids enjoyed playing in the warm outdoor bath tub. Quite remote, so it is best to come prepared, as there will not be any larger grocery shops nearby. However, we knew this, so it was not a problem. Overall, we enjoyed our stay a lot. Better communication and responses to the airbnb messages from the host would be ideal, though.

Une destination de rêve 😀 - Nous avons aimé le calme, la beauté des lieux autant dans le cottage que l'extérieur. Uta est très soucieuse de notre confort. Our easter trip was amazing, because of this beautiful house. It is totally as it seen on the pictures. Uta was really helpful and flexible the communication was easy. Absolutely recommended , cant wait to reserve it for the summer time 🙂

Uta's cottage is very beautifully located in the midst of nature. We loved the house, the sauna and the boat! Finnish summer cottage experience at its best.

One tip-Because the cottage is in midst of forest and nature, the nearest grocery store is quite far away and also closed on sundays, so best to carry own groceries before reaching!

Rauhaisa loma luonnon keskellä 😀 - Luonnon kaunis ja luonnon läheinen paikka. Norppakin oli hetken aikaa kalakaverina.

Eine Unterkunft zum absoluten Entspannen. 😀 - Die Eigentümerin, eine Deutsche, die mit einem Finnen verhiratet ist, war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, Wenn man etwas vermisste, wurde dies sofort geklärt und geliefert. Das Haus ist für 8 Personen geeignet, und wir hatten es zu zweit zur Verfügung. Alles war da, Herd, Kühlschank, Mikrowelle, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine (funktionierte nicht, am nächsten Tag wurde eine neue geliefert!)., Trockner, elektrische Sauna im Haus sowie Außensauna direkt am Bootssteg, eigenes Ruderboot, Hottub, Kamin. Absolut ruhige Lage mitten im Wald direkt am See, die nächsten Ferienwohnungen sind jeweils ca. 1 km entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeit (klein) 15 km, groß 35 km. Das Haus ist absolut solide aus dicken Baustämmen gebaut. 😞 - Leider hatte ich kein Anglerglück, und an frischem Fisch gibt es nur die kleinen Maränen.

Kohteessa oli kaikki tarvittava pidempäänkin lomailuun. Lapset rakastivat erityisesti parvea ja paljua. Saunassa sai todella hyvät löylyt ja sijainti oli todella hyvä. Meitä oli 4 hengen perhe + kaksi koiraa. Mökki oli niin suuri että porukkaa olisi mahtunut reilusti enemmänkin. Kommunikointi oli sujuvaa. Aivan ihanat maisemat ja auringon lasku. Täysi 10. Todellakin hintansa väärti! Ainut pienen pieni miinus, että sängyt olivat meidän makuun liian kovia, mutta se ei menoa haitannut kun kaikki muu oli täydellistä 😉

Paras mökkiloma 60 vuoden kokemuksella 😍 😀 - Norppatorppa on täydellinen mökki. Majoitumme siellä aikuisten lastemme kanssa. Paikka on hiljainen: hiljaisuus on täydellinen, autojen ääni ei kuulu ja näimme vain pari venettä koko viikon aikana. Mökissä on kaikki mitä toivoa saattaa. Jopa kaksi saunaa, laavu rannassa, hiekkapohjainen ranta, soutuvene ja ihana kuisti missä söimme kaikki ateriat. Mökin vierestä lähtee kivoja kävelyreittejä. Matkamme varrelle osui kaunis suo, josta löysimme lakkoja. Suopursujen tuoksu täytti ilman ja ensimmäistä kertaa elämässämme näimme kihokin - Suomen ainoan lihansyöjäkasvin. Lohijärven kylältä löytyy kiva pieni kauppa ja Majakka-kahvila, josta ostimme mm. kumisaappaat ja vieheitä. Noin 30 min päästä löytyy myös uusi Hobbitti-kahvila, jossa on upeat antimet. Vuokrasimme kohtuuhintaan kanootin ja sup-laudan, joita perheemme nuoriso käytti innokkaasti. Varasimme jo ensi vuodelle saman mökin. Lämmin ja vahva suositus Lomalehdon mökkeihin 😞 - None

Upea mökki kauniilla rannalla 😀 - Ihana rauhallinen mökkipaikka omalla kauniilla hiekkarannalla. Rantasaunan löylyt olivat mahtavat ja vilpola terasseineen oli viihtyisä. Uimaan pääsi kätevästi sekä hyvältä laiturilta että hiekkarannalta. Pihapiirissä ei myöskään ollut käytännössä yhtään ötököitä, johtui varmasti kasvillisuudesta 😊 😞 - Ei kerrassaan mitään moitittavaa, kaasugrilli olisi toki vielä ollut hyvä lisä. Mutta toisaalta erillinen grillikota oli siisti ja hyvin toimiva.

Un incroyable séjour au cœur de la forêt finlandaise ! Merci à Uta et Ilpo pour leur accueil. Le chalet était parfait : 😀 - Tout était parfait ! L’emplacement du chalet, nous nous sommes sentis privilégiés ! Calme et à l’abri des regards, au cœur de la forêt, au bord du lac Saimaa. Très propre, avec tout ce qu’il faut à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur (barbecue, jacuzzi, saune, etc…) Merci à Uta et Ilpo, disponibles et sympathiques, nous avons passé d’excellents moments et nous reviendrons avec plaisir ! 😞 - Rien. Tout était parfait !

Olimme perheen kanssa viikon mökkilomalla Norppatorpassa. Mökki oli siisti, avara ja siitä löytyi kaikki tarpeellinen. Erityisen mukavaa oli uida, saunoa ja olla ihan omassa rauhassa perheen kesken. Hiekkaranta yllätti positiivisesti! Suosittelemme kohdetta muillekin!

We had a wonderful, relaxed and adventurous two weeks in this cozy lodge. It is very well equipped and Uta is a great host. We could not get enough of the sunsets. The location of the lodge is nice for fishing, sauna, swimming, hiking and of course boating. We picked blueberrys just around the house. It is the perfect place for people who look for the quietness in pure nature.

Wenn man die finnische Natur kennenlernen möchte, ist diese Hütte genau das richtige. Super Gastgeber, super Unterkunft und atemberaubende Natur! Besser geht es nicht.

The house and setting were beautiful and we really enjoyed the lakeside sauna and the outdoor grill house. Uta was helpful and welcoming.

Uta was a great host. She was very friendly and helpful. She was there to meet us upon arrival to show us around the house. She organized the fishing permits for us and made sure that we were fine throughout our stay.
The cabin was really spacious and very well equipped. The house is located next to a beautiful lake, has a great sauna and a nice open fireplace where you can grill your self-caught fish if you are lucky. There is also a rowing boat which is perfect to go fishing or just enjoy the lake. There are a few other cabins in the neighborhood, but the distance is big enough, so that you have your privacy.
A perfect place to relax and enjoy the great nature during the long finish summer days. We only can recommend it. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Everything was good, price and what you get ratio is perfectly balanced. Nature and view were good, sauna very relaxing.

Uta‘s place is amazing. It has a degree of silence that is rarely found. As there are no major roads anywhere nearby you hear nothing but the sounds of nature. The price for the quiet surroundings is a 17 km dirt road leading up to the cabin and 42 km distance to shops.
Plus the cabin and outdoor facilities are wonderful. You have the choice between a more protected patio with morning sun at the house, a more open but still wind protected patio with lake view at the sauna house and a sunny patio right at the lake.
Then there is a sandy beach to enjoy a swim in the clear lake without having to walk over rocks and pebbles.
We enjoyed every moment at the cabin during our stay for two weeks and will come back. We highly recommend this place for anyone appreciating the quietude of nature, pristine lakes, the comforts of wooden saunas, and a place build with love for details a comfort of the guests in mind.

Todella kiva mökki järven rannalla. Olimme talviloman aikaan ja kaikki sujui hienosti. Ilpo ajoi hiihtoladut päivittäin ja teki meille pyynnöstä avannonkin. Kiitos!

Das Blockhaus mit extra Sauna Haus mit Wellness-Zimmer und Kamin und überdachten Grillplatz ist ein Traum , vom nahegelegenen Wanderweg durch einen naturbelassenen Wald gelangt man zu einem Grillplatz auf einer Anhöhe mit top Aussicht auf den See. Auf der Route zum Wanderweg findet man ein Karussell auf dem Groß und Klein Spaß hat .Ein weiterer Kühlschrank wäre für einen längeren Aufenthalt sicher sinnvoll, da die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ca 15 min mit dem Auto entfernt ist. Feuerholz für Sauna, Kamin und Lagerfeuer ist vorhanden, die Vermieter Uta und Lipo sind sehr nette Gastgeber.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

We stayed for a week at Uta's place and had a wonderful time. The cabin offers everything for peace and quiet. Lake access, a rowing boat, sauna, barbecue, hot tub and no neighbours. Uta is a great host. Communication was easy and she made us feel welcome. We highly recommend Uta's place

Great place, we had a very relaxing holiday here. Also the surroundings are beautiful. Only detail is that we had to request with the renter to use the hot tub, so if you want this it’s good to discuss upfront.

Exceptional 😀 - Vietimme ihanan kesäviikon Karhunpesässä. Sijainti kauniilla paikalla. Naapurimökit riittävän välimatkan päässä. Hyvä uimaranta. Saunassa hyvät löylyt ja maisemaikkuna järvelle. Mökki tilava ja viihtyisä. Hyvä grillauspaikka. Viihdyttiin hyvin ja voisin ehdottomasti majoittua uudelleen. 😞 - Ilmalämpöpumppu olisi hyvä olla mökin viilennykseen kesähelteellä. Veitset olivat tylsät. Onneksi oli oma puukko mukana.

Die perfekte finnische Unterkunft 😀 - Sehr sauberes und perfekt eingerichtetes und ausgestattetes Blockhaus direkt am See mitten in der Natur (mit eigenem Seezugang über einen eigenen Steg) mit zwei sehr schönen Saunen, riesiger Veranda und eigener Grillhütte. Was will man mehr? Die perfekte Unterkunft! Und dazu super nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter, welche stets erreichbar sind und dazu den Verleih verschiedenster Utensilien anbieten, sodass einem rundum gelungenen Urlaub nichts im Wege steht (in unserem Fall Winter - > skier, Schneeschuhe, Eisangel-set u.v.m.). Ich könnte noch ewig weiterschreiben...zusammengefasst: selten eine so perfekte Unterkunft erlebt. 😞 - -

Viesteihin vastattiin nopeasti ja ystävällisesti. Kaikki oli kuten sovittu. Mökillä upeat maisemat, sekä itse mökki hyvin siisti. Paikkaa voi vain suositella.

We had a wonderful stay at Uta's beautiful cabin. It is situated in a lovely location with views looking out to the lake from three sides. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed the saunas and tie boat. Thank you, Uta! We look forward to returning.

Really remote, really nice, a tiny bit dusty 😀 - There was a restaurant recommended to us where we got food poisoning. We are very sure that this was not intentional, but it did make our stay a little less pleasant.

Its a great secluded space but close enough to the local couple of shops to be convenient.. (15 min drive).
Very peaceful on the beach watching some spectacular sunsets.
Worth renting a motor for the boat and catching some tasty pike to grill..
Uta was friendly and quick to help when we had some questions..

What a little gem! The perfect way to experience some time with nature and the Finnish way of life. The cabin is rustic, and for us (just two people) it was very spacious. We loved enjoying the sauna in the evening and jumping off the jetty for a very cold swim! The quiet and the view were something I’ll not soon forget. Uta and Ilpo were excellent, communicative & helpful but also respectful of your time and space. They arranged the use of the hot tub, which was lush! Thank you Uta and Ilpo! We miss the cabin already!!

Olimme viettämässä joulua kavereiden kesken. Kokemus oli todella positiivinen. Mökki oli kodikas ja keittiö hyvin varusteltu. Rantasaunassa oli mahtavat löylyt. Alakerrassa oli hyvät sängyt, peitot ja tyynyt (emme käyttäneet yläkertaa). Uta oli todella miellyttävä ja vastasi nopeasti viesteihin.

Täydellinen kohde syysmökkeilyyn ja miksei muinakin vuodenaikoina. Siisti ja tilava tupa, jossa raikas huoneilma ja hyvät sängyt. Keittiössä kaikki tarpeellinen. Plussaa myös grillikatoksesta, jossa laittaa ruokaa avotulella. Bongattiin metsäkanalintujakin pihalla aamuvarhain molempina aamuina eli luonto todellakin lähellä.

Utan mökki on upealla paikalla ja hyvin toimiva 7 henkiselle porukalla. Sauna, palju ja ranta ovat lyömätön kombo. Kaikki toimi kuten oli sovittu ja sisään- ja uloskirjautuminen olivat joustavia ja tarkkoja. Uta perheineen oli äärimmäisen auttavainen, kommunikoiva ja lämmin. Meilllä oli hienoisia auto-ongelmia omasta takaa, niin pian pihalla oli monta ihmistä auttamassa ja selvittämässä ongelmaamme, joka myös selvitettiin. Saimme jopa auton lainaan ensimmäiselle kauppareissulle, kun omamme ei vielä toiminut. Keittiö oli hyvin varusteltu, löylyt pehmeät ja sängyissä oli hyvä nukkua. Luonto ja rauhallinen ympäristö veivät kuitenkin voiton. Vahva suositus ihanalle lomareissulle.

Serene stay by lake Saimaa 😀 - Loved the location and the cottage everything was just as expected 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at Karhunpesä. It was amazing to have the lake right behind the house and two saunas as well as a cozy fireplace. Communication was great and Ilpo even helped us with the boat to go out on the lake. We would have loved to stay longer!

Perfect for isolation in nature. 😀 - Amazingly beautiful place, calm, quiet, silent, isolated. Just nature. Lots of paths through the forest to walk. 😞 - A couple of minor non important issues, but overall an exceedingly wonderful experience. Thanks really a lot to the hosts for their kindness ! 🙂

Great cottage with a splendid view over the lake. Good location and great host.

We spent a great time in the cabin in the perfect location of Saimaa Lake. The hosts are very kind and helpful. the whole experience was just excellent. You do need to get major food and items before you visit the cabin, but you can find most of things you need at the cabin and you do have a small shop (Kmarket) 30 minutes drive. All instructions are given by Uta ahead of time, so no surprises.

We had a wonderful few nights family vacation at Uta's and Ilpo's cottage with two small children and the grandparents. The cottage had everything you need, was spacious, clean and cozy. Two saunas offered great options for some relaxing wellness. The rowing boat was steady and worked well for fishing. Great outdoor space for Autumn walks, self built carousel in the forest was a high light for the kids. This is definitely a cottage we could come again to visit.

Utan mökki oli erinomaisella paikalla loistavilla varusteluilla. Muille mökeille oli matkaa ja mökki oli tilava ja sopiva useammalle ihmiselle.
Mökki oli siistissä kunnossa ja sinne oli helppo asettua loman ajaksi. Yöpymistilaa riitti hyvin, mutta parvella olleista sängyistä kaksi narisi melko paljon, eivätkä tuntuneet erityisen tukevilta. Nämä kuitenkin ovat sivuseikkoja kohteen loistavassa kokonaisuudessa.

Toisena kehityskohteena huomioisin keittiövälineet. Seurueeseemme kuului innokas kokkaaja, joka olisi esimerkiksi toivonut enemmän keittiöveitsiä. Tästä huolimatta pärjäsimme hyvin sillä mitä oli saatavilla.

Saunarakennus oli sopivalla etäisyydellä järvestä ja mökistä ja saunatilat olivat erityisen tilavat ja miellyttävät ja kiuas lämpesi nopeasti.

Uta oli erittäin avulias ja vastasi nopeasti kysymyksiin. Uta piti huolen, että myös talviolosuhteissa kohteessa viihtyi hyvin.

Tulen takuulla varaamaan kohteen uudestaan jossain vaiheessa.

The stay at Uta's was outstanding! We were a group of 7 friends and have nothing to complain. The remote location is a perfect get away for everyone, who wants to escape from the busy city life. The house itself is perfectly clean and super well equipped. The check-in and check-out processes were super uncomplicated and perfectly organized! We also got tips for the surrounding areas and were perfectly happy with the whole stay. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thanks so much!

Mökki oli aivan upea yksityisessä niemessä. Puusauna rannalla, ihana hiekkaranta ja mökin varustelu ja siisteys erinomainen. Myös pyöröhirsimökki itsessään oli kaunis. Plussaa oli myös ilmalämpöpumppu, sillä lomallamme oli hellettä. Saimme myös nopeasti majoittajalta vastauksen viestiin, kun oli jotakin kysyttävää. Nautimme mökkilomastamme suuresti. Kiitos!

Yhteydenpito oli helppoa ja majoituspaikka oli kuvauksen mukainen. Todella siistissä kunnossa ja erinomainen varustelutaso. Paikalle oli helppo löytää ja ympäristö oli todella rauhallinen, mökki sijaitsi mukavasti omassa poukamassaan niin ettei naapureihin ollut näköyhteyttä. Voisimme hyvin tulla uudelleen!

Hieno mökki ja paikka upeilla maisemilla. Järjestelyt sujuivat mallikelpoisesti. Ystävällinen isäntä laittoi paljunkin lämpiämään kun saavuimme perille. Hienona plussana vielä sähköauton latausmahdollisuus, saimme akun täyteen mukavasti lomamme aikana. Suosittelemme lämpimästi!

Wir schätzten die ruhige Lage etwas abseits der Haupstrasse direkt am See. Wir waren in erster Linie für das Angeln dort. Fischreiche Gründe (viele Barsche und Hechte) finden sich mit dem Boot (20PS) innerhalb von 5-15min. Unverzichtbar für das Navigieren auf den Seen ist eine Seekarte. Es gibt viele Steine. Die App "Sailmate" können wir nur empfehlen. Das Gründstück verfügt über einen eigenen Strand mit Steg. Grössere Supermärkte gibt es in Savonlinna (90min pro Weg) und Imatra (70min pro Weg). Für den kleinen Bedarf reicht auch die Tankstelle in Lohilahti (ca. 20min pro Weg). Die Gastgeber sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden wieder kommen. 🙂

We had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage, Uta was very friendly, the location couldn’t be better, the sauna is amazing, I definitely recommend staying here!
